Accessibility
Our commitment
Montana Wellness serves older adults and people living with chronic conditions. Many people who use this website have low vision, hearing loss, reduced dexterity, or use a screen reader. Making this site usable for them is part of the service, not an afterthought.
We build and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We have not commissioned an independent audit, so we describe Level AA as the standard we work to — not as certified conformance. We would rather say that plainly than imply an approval we do not hold.
What we have done
These are built into the site, not settings you have to turn on:
- Text is set larger than a typical marketing site, and body text is written to a contrast level above the Level AA minimum.
- Every link and button can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, in the order it appears on screen, and always shows a visible outline when focused.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing a keyboard or screen-reader user reaches on every page.
- Every form field has a permanent visible label. Required fields are announced, and errors are described in words and marked with an icon — never by colour alone.
- The site stays usable at 200% zoom and down to a 320-pixel-wide screen, without content being cut off.
- Motion is reduced automatically when your device is set to prefer reduced motion. Nothing autoplays, and nothing flashes.
- Phone numbers are real, selectable text rather than images, so they can be copied, enlarged, or read aloud.
- Page content is written into the page itself, so it can be read without waiting for scripts to load.
Where there are still gaps
The callback request form needs JavaScript to send. If JavaScript is turned off or blocked, the form will not submit — but the phone number works in every case, and calling reaches the same care team with no disadvantage.
Automated accessibility tools find roughly a third of real problems. The rest need a person. We run manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, and we treat a barrier you report as a defect to fix rather than a suggestion to consider.
The form uses a bot-protection check from a third party. We do not control that vendor’s code, so we cannot make the same promises about it that we make about the rest of the page.

If any part of this website stopped you from doing what you came to do, call and tell us. You do not need to know the technical reason — describing what happened is enough. If you would rather have the information on this site read to you over the phone, the same number will do that.
